The Modern Maker Schoolhouse is here to teach people the joys of making their own clothing, clothing patterns, costumes, historical dress and related accessories. This site has been developed with that goal in mind. From blog posts about certain pieces of clothing to informational pages devoted to specific parts of history and clothing manufacture, this site will guide you.
One of the best parts of the new site is the Bara System Pattern Archive. This archive of patterns is constantly being updated, expanded and tweaked so that you’re always getting the most current drafts, proportions and information about all the different things you can make with the Bara system. As you can see by what we have loaded in so far, the possibilities are endless!
