Lace Making

Needle lace, no matter the technique, is made with a needle and thread. There are different styles and methods, but in the end, needle lace involves working macramé-like knots around a core of threads. sometimes the core is small, sometimes thick, but the end result is a network of shapes and lines that has endless…and I do mean endless variety.

Bobbin Lace (COMING SOON!)

Bobbin lace was originally created as a faster way to make some of the patterns that were popular with needle lace. In just a few short decades, it had evolved into a textile art in its own right. The simple structure of a braid is elevated to a complexity that seems almost impossible. Yet the technique is simple. Bobbin lace requires more supplies than other laces, but it is worth the time and effort.
