Catch Stitch

The catch stitch serves the same function as the cross stitch, and it is often substituted for the cross stitch where speed is necessary. It is faster to execute than the cross stitch, due to the direction of stitching. Like the cross stitch, it is found throughout historical and modern clothing. It is useful when you need the layers of fabric to have slightly more freedom of movement.
